Momentum for Reardon continues

The list of Jeff Reardon supporters continues to grow. In the last week, Jeff has added some pretty big names to his list of endorsements. If you missed the news here are some big ones just from this week:

AFSCME: This endorsement really stands out for a couple reasons. First, AFSCME represents lots of people doing good work in Oregon, and among them are DEQ employees. They are our front line workers, keeping our air and water clean. Second, Mike Schaufler continues to claim that he is the labor candidate in this race, yet AFSCME joins a long list of unions endorsing Jeff Reardon over Schaufler. In a statement about the endorsement Ken Allen, AFSCME Executive Director said, "Jeff Reardon is the voice we need standing up for working families in House District 48...We’re ready to roll up our sleeves and get busy fixing Oregon’s economy. We’re urging our AFSCME members and union families across District 48 to support Jeff Reardon."

MotherPAC: For those of you who don't know, MotherPAC rules. Their mission is to raise awareness about the public policy issues that matter to families and to help elect candidates who will champion the policies mothers and families need. In their statement endorsing Reardon, MotherPAC said "Jeff’s answers to our questions were right-on target and showed his understanding of the need to update the outdated public policies that negatively impact Oregon families." The list of things MotherPAC wants to see improved in Oregon includes cleaner air, less industrial pollution and fewer toxic chemicals – all of which will improve public health.

Sierra Club: Sierra Club’s endorsement is yet another statement by the conservation community that Jeff Reardon is the only pro-conservation candidate in this race. Many of us know where Sierra Club stands on the issues we care about and it is great to see them give Jeff their seal of approval.

These are just three in a long list of endorsers that includes labor, community members, conservation groups, elected officials, and Governor Barbara Roberts. Check out Jeff's website for everyone who is supporting his campaign.
