Protecting the Ocean from Offshore Oil Drilling
SB 790
Topic |
Legislative Session |
Oregon’s ocean is a special place full of the riches of the sea. Yet, it’s at risk due to Bush Administration proposals to consider offshore drilling for oil and gas. This bill protects Oregon’s beaches and estuaries by placing a moratorium on exploration, development, or production of oil, gas or sulfur off of Oregon’s coast until 2010.
