Are you unhappy with our political climate? Are you excited about the changes this upcoming election could bring? Do you talk to your friends about politics? What about your neighbors?
We all share a responsibility to leave behind a strong environmental legacy for our children and grandchildren. That is why OLCV is working hard to make sure Oregonians vote for candidates who will work to protect those things that keep Oregon a special place for our families to call home − our forests, farmland, rivers, fish and wildlife.
But we can't do it alone. Help OLCV reach out to thousands of voters before they cast their votes. Visit our calendar of events now and sign up to talk to your neighbors about the candidates you support.
It is critical that we reach out and educate the thousands of first time voters who are focused on the president. One on one personal contact is the best way to reach these voters.

Challenge the Candidates: Green or Mean?
Challenge the candidates running for office in your district. Let's find out if they're really green or just plain mean.
The next time a candidate calls you or visits you at your door, or if you attend a town hall where he/she is speaking, ask them:
"If elected, what meaningful steps will you take to curb global warming?"
Do they have a plan with specific details or just empty rhetoric?
We need to get the candidates on record while they are running for office so we can hold them accountable once they are elected. OLCV staff can’t be everywhere to monitor the candidates, so we're counting on you - our supporters - to help us out.
Email Tresa your candidate's answer and she'll post your response on our blog, OLCV Talk.

If you haven't yet signed up to volunteer - now's your chance. We still have to talk to thousands of voters and we really do need your help.
I vote for pro-environmental candidates because we can’t afford to sacrifice long-term stewardship for short-term gains.
