Why we love OLCV's Annual Celebration

OLCV Annual Celebration Event Sponsor

The Rock ‘n’ Roll Camp for Girls is so excited to be DJ-ing the Oregon League of Conservation Voter’s 15th Annual Celebration for the Environment!

The Rock ’n’ Roll Camp for Girls (RnRC4G), a 501(c)3 non-profit, builds girls’ self-esteem through music creation and performance. For over 10 years now, we have helped girls make noise and get empowered. Girls get to choose and learn an instrument, form a band, write an original song and play a showcase at local venue. We are founders of a global movement - the Portland model has been expanded to 40+ camps around the world through the the Girls Rock Camp Alliance!

OLCV Annual Celebration Table Host

I have hosted a table at the OLCV Dinner since it was a small gathering of people who cared about Oregon's environment. I am honored to be a part of this celebration every year.

The dinner, now a much larger and gala affair, is a great way to celebrate Earth Day; and the dedicated work that goes on every year at the citizen, community, private sector, and government level to preserve and protect Oregon.

Now known as OLCV's Annual Celebration, this event also serves as inspiration to me about the hard work that still lies ahead to continue to protect Oregon's environment. Thanks, OLCV, for hosting this great event that gives us all a chance to honor and celebrate our beautiful state.

Having lived in Oregon for many years and attended a large number of civic and political events in Portland, the OLCV Annual Celebration stands out as being in the top tier of events in terms of the elected officials, NGO leaders and industry colleagues that attend.

In my time at Element Power and previously at Horizon Wind/EDPR, I have found being a sponsor or table captain to be a valuable outreach strategy to demonstrate my company’s active support of the candidates and policies that have helped make Oregon a national leader in terms of the renewable energy industry.

We love attending OLCV's annual celebration! It is so reviving to be around fantastic enviros! Additionally, it's a time to celebrate our politicians who have high scores on the Score Card. The food is always excellent but it's the conversations with new and old friends that really make this night completely a worth while event! This is the event NOT to miss!

OLCV Annual Celebration Regular (If I am in town, I am there!)

I attended my first of OLCV's Annual Celebrations in 2007. And I have to say that each year gets better and better. It's great to see everyone in their fancy clothes celebrating Oregon's environment.

If I had to pick a favorite year, it would have to be 2009. I don't know what makes it stand out above the rest - maybe it was the speaker Dan Kammen or maybe it was former House Majority Leader Representative Mary Nolan's dress. Was that the same year?
